The Relationship between Resilience and Yangsaeng of College Student in Korea

Abstract
Purpose: This study was designed to assess the degree of resilience and Yangsaeng and to identify correlations among variables of college students in Korean.

Method: Participants were 244 students in Y city of Kyunggido province. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics,
Pearson¡¯s correlation coefficients, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe¡¯s test, multiple regression and Cronbach¡¯s ¥á.

Result: For Yangsaeng, mean score was 3.06(5 point scale) and 181.34(5 point scale) for resilience. Yangseang was correlated positively with resilience (r=.452, p<.001), self regulation (r=.44, p<.001), interpersonal skills (r=.27, p<.001) and positivity (r=.40, p<.001). Major satisfaction and regular exercise was significantly different in Yangsaeng and resilience. Yangsaeng, major satisfaction and drinking alcohol was explained 24.5% for resilience.

Conclusion: The Yangsaeng oriental health care regimen could improve resilience; selfregulation, interpersonal skills and positivity. Therefore, Yangsaeng could be recommended as a way of promoting health and resilience.
